Binance Fees and Referral Rebates: How to Check Your Costs
Distinguish trading fees, inviter commissions, your own rebate, and fee vouchers. Use a clearly hypothetical calculation and compare the terms with your records.
A trading fee is a charge for a transaction. A referral commission is a benefit paid to an inviter, while a referral rebate may return part of an eligible fee to the invited user. A temporary fee voucher is a separate promotion. Before using an invitation, identify which benefit is being described and who receives it.
This guide helps a beginner compare those terms and check their own records. It does not offer an invitation, guarantee a rebate percentage, or recommend trading to earn rewards.
Check the fee for the specific product
Open the official fee schedule and select the product you intend to use. Spot, Futures, withdrawals, and other services do not share one universal rate. Account tier, trading pair, order execution, and applicable discounts can also matter.

Public schedule captured on 17 September 2026. This image is a dated reference, not a promise of the rate on your account. Check the live schedule and the transaction details before relying on a number.
The schedule viewed for this review lists 0.100% maker and taker rates in the ordinary Spot columns for a regular user. Other columns and eligible discounts differ. A public table alone does not establish your final charge.
An order that immediately matches existing orders generally takes liquidity. An order that rests on the order book can provide liquidity when filled. A limit order can execute as a taker, so “limit” does not automatically mean a maker fee. The official maker/taker FAQ explains the distinction.
Separate your rebate from the inviter's commission
The Referral Pro FAQ distinguishes the inviter's commission from the invited user's rebate. The invitee receives a share only when the applicable arrangement provides it. An inviter advertising their own commission percentage has not established your rebate.
Program exclusions and the eligible fee basis also matter. The current FAQ describes referral calculations based on net fees after applicable market-maker rebates. Do not assume the entire charge shown on any transaction qualifies for the same advertised percentage.
Use this comparison when reading an offer:
| Term | What you need to establish |
|---|---|
| Trading fee | The charge for your actual product and transaction |
| Inviter commission | The benefit paid to the person who referred you |
| Your rebate | The share assigned to you and its eligible fee basis |
| Fee discount | How the charge itself changes, including conditions |
| Fee voucher | Covered activity, redemption rules, and validity period |
A hypothetical fee-and-rebate calculation
The following numbers are assumptions for arithmetic only. They are not a Coivio offer, a verified invitation, or a prediction of your account's rate. Assume:
- A Spot transaction has a value of 1,000 USDT.
- The applicable fee is 0.10%, with no other discount or charge in this example.
- The program treats the full 1 USDT fee as eligible.
- The invitation assigns the invited user a rebate of 10% of that eligible fee.
| Calculation | Hypothetical result |
|---|---|
| Fee: 1,000 × 0.001 | 1.00 USDT |
| Rebate: 1.00 × 0.10 | 0.10 USDT equivalent |
| Fee less rebate: 1.00 − 0.10 | 0.90 USDT equivalent |
The 10% assumption applies to the eligible fee, not the trade's 1,000 USDT value. If your verified rebate is zero, the example produces no rebate. If the fee basis or discount changes, calculate from the applicable values instead of adding advertised percentages together. Settlement currency, conversion, and rounding may also affect the recorded amount. This example leaves market gains or losses out of the calculation; a fee reduction does not prevent a trading loss.
Verify the program before creating a referral relationship
Binance distinguishes Referral Lite from Referral Pro. Its program overview describes one-time, task-based Lite rewards and the commission-based Pro arrangement. A new user can participate through only one referral mode.
Review the code and displayed terms before signup. An established referral relationship cannot be changed or removed, according to the official Pro FAQ. Some eligible accounts without an existing relationship may use a later binding option, subject to its current conditions. That does not mean an already linked code can be replaced. The registration guide explains how linked codes appear during signup.
A voucher deserves a separate check. The Welcome Rewards rules describe limited validity and task differences between regions or users. A headline voucher amount is not the same as cash available to withdraw.
Keep a record you can compare with the result
Before relying on an invitation, save the program name, displayed terms, applicable product, your stated rebate, and any expiry date. Ask whether the person recommending it receives compensation. Avoid sending your account credentials or private documents to obtain an answer.
After a trade you independently decided to make, compare the charged fee with any recorded benefit:
- Identify the actual trade and its recorded fee; keep the fee asset and amount together.
- Check the applicable referral or rewards section through your account, matching the program you joined.
- Compare the product, qualifying activity, eligible fee basis, and any timing conditions against the saved terms.
- If a reward is unclear, use official support with the relevant records. Do not create additional trades just to test whether a reward will appear.
Record the benefit that actually arrived rather than the largest number in an advertisement. Keep withdrawals and unrelated charges separate from a trading-fee comparison.
Read how to register a personal account before signing up, and use the beginner safety checklist before moving funds.
